في المملكة العربية السعودية، تتم جميع عمليات استقدام العمالة المنزلية وتوثيق عقودها عبر منصة حكومية واحدة. وسواء أردت استقدام عاملة منزلية أو مربية أطفال أو سائق خاص أو عامل لرعاية المسنّين، فإن الاستقدام والعقد والمدفوعات تُدار بالكامل من خلال منصة 

، المنصة الرسمية التابعة لوزارة الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية. فعبر مساند تتأكد من أهليتك للاستقدام، وتختار طريقته، وتوقّع العقد، وتسدّد الرسوم.

وقد تبدو المنصة محيّرة بعض الشيء لمن يستقدم لأول مرة. لذلك أعددنا هذا الدليل ليأخذك خطوة بخطوة وبلغة واضحة ومبسّطة، أيًّا كان نوع المساعدة التي ترغب في إدخالها إلى بيتك: من يحقّ له الاستقدام، وما المستندات التي تحتاج إلى تجهيزها، وكيف يعمل العقد وكم تبلغ التكاليف، وكم يستغرق الأمر من وقت.

هل أنت مؤهل للاستقدام؟

قبل أي خطوة، تتحقق منصة مساند من استيفائك للشروط. ويمكنك إجراء فحص الأهلية على المنصة قبل تقديم الطلب، وهو ما يوفّر عليك الوقت والمال إذا كان ينقصك شرط ما. ويتوقف الأمر على عاملَين: من أنت، وقدرتك المالية على إعالة العامل.

المواطنون ومن في حكمهم

: المواطنون السعوديون، ومواطنو دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، وأبناء القبائل النازحة، وزوجة المواطن، وأمّ المواطن، وحاملو الإقامة المميّزة. كما يحقّ 

 الاستقدام، لكن وفق شروط مالية أكثر صرامة، ولا يجوز لهم استقدام عامل من جنسيتهم نفسها.

شرط العمر يختلف بحسب حالتك

 إذا كنت مواطنًا سعوديًا أو في حكمه، فالحدّ الأدنى للعمر عند الاستقدام لغير المتزوّج هو 21 عامًا. أما المقيم الأجنبي فيعتمد الأمر على وضعه الأسري. يجب ألا يقلّ عمر المقيم غير المتزوّج وبلا أبناء عن 24 عامًا.

القدرة المالية هي الشرط الأهم

 لا يوجد حدّ منخفض لعدد العمال الذين يمكنك استقدامهم. بل تعتمد مساند على جداول للقدرة المالية يرتفع سقفها مع كل تأشيرة إضافية. ففي التأشيرة الأولى تُصرّح غالبًا براتبك وتُثبت رصيدًا بنكيًا، ثم يرتفع الحدّ الأدنى للراتب وللرصيد المطلوب بشكل ملحوظ مع التأشيرة الثانية والثالثة وما بعدها. وفيما يلي صورة تقريبية للمتطلبات المنشورة حاليًا:

المواطنون ومن في حكمهم:

  التأشيرة الأولى: التصريح بالراتب وإثبات رصيد بنكي يقارب 40,000 ريال.

  التأشيرة الثانية: راتب من نحو 7,000 ريال، مع رصيد بنكي يقارب 60,000 ريال.

  التأشيرة الثالثة: راتب من نحو 25,000 ريال، مع رصيد يقارب 200,000 ريال، وتستمرّ المتطلبات في التصاعد بعد ذلك.

  التأشيرة الأولى: راتب من نحو 10,000 ريال، مع مستند بنكي من نحو 100,000 ريال.

  التأشيرة الثانية: يتضاعف الحدّ الأدنى للراتب تقريبًا ليصل إلى نحو 20,000 ريال، مع شرائح أعلى بعدها.

كما يقتصر المقيمون على عامل واحد لكل مهنة، فلا يمكن استقدام عاملَين في المهنة نفسها، بينما يستطيع المواطنون التوسّع أكثر. الرسالة العملية لمعظم الأسر واحدة: استقدام عامل واحد متاحٌ بدخل اعتيادي، أما كل عامل إضافي فيتطلّب وضعًا ماليًا أقوى بوضوح. ويُضاف إلى ذلك سجلّ نظيف خالٍ من مخالفات الاستقدام أو الغرامات غير المسدّدة، وحساب نشط في أبشر.

تأكّد من الأرقام المحدّثة قبل الاعتماد عليها.

 هذه الحدود مدرجة ضمن لوائح مساند وقد تغيّرت من قبل. وعند تسجيل الدخول تعرض لك المنصة الراتب والرصيد المطلوبَين تحديدًا لفئتك ورقم تأشيرتك، لذا اعتبر الأرقام أعلاه استرشادية وتحقّق من أرقامك يوم التقديم.

اختر طريقة الاستقدام قبل أي شيء آخر

أهمّ قرار تتّخذه في مساند ليس اختيار المكتب، بل اختيار 

الاستقدام، لأن هذا الاختيار يحدّد التكلفة والجهد ومدة الانتظار. وهناك ثلاث طرق رئيسية، ولن تعرض لك المنصة سوى المتاح منها للجنسية والمهنة اللتين تختارهما.

أداة اختيار طريقة الاستقدام

 إلى الخيار الذي يناسب ميزانيتك ووقتك، وما إذا كنت تستقدم من الخارج أو تنقل خدمات عامل موجود داخل المملكة. وتشرح بقية هذا القسم كل طريقة حتى تتّضح لك التوصية.

أولًا: عبر مكتب استقدام مرخّص

هذه هي الطريقة الأقلّ عناءً. يتولّى مكتب مرخّص من مساند البحث والإجراءات والترتيبات اللوجستية، ثم يعرض عليك عروض مرشّحين للاختيار من بينها. تدفع أكثر مقابل الراحة، وتعتمد الجودة كثيرًا على المكتب، لذا يجدر بك الاطّلاع على تقييمه في مساند قبل الالتزام. وهي الأنسب لمن يستقدم لأول مرة ويفضّل أن يدير غيرُه العملية، أو لمن يستقدم من دولة لا تتوفّر فيها الخدمة الذاتية.

ثانيًا: الخدمة الذاتية باختيار عامل محدّد (معروفة)

هنا تستقدم عاملًا بعينه لديك بالفعل، إذ تُدخل بيانات جواز سفره ومعلومات التواصل بنفسك، وتتولّى مساند العقد والتأشيرة. وهي أرخص وأسرع، لكنها متاحة لعدد محدود من الجنسيات (تشمل حاليًا الفلبين وكينيا وسريلانكا)، وتضع جزءًا أكبر من العمل على عاتقك. وهي الأنسب لمن يعرف مسبقًا من يريد توظيفه، كعاملة أوصت بها العائلة.

ثالثًا: نقل خدمات عامل موجود داخل المملكة (نقل الكفالة)

بدلًا من الاستقدام من الخارج، تنقل كفالة عامل موجود بالفعل في المملكة. وهذه عادةً أسرع طريقة، إذ لا استقدام خارجي ولا إصدار تأشيرة ولا سفر. لكنها تتطلّب أن يوافق صاحب العمل الحالي على التنازل عن العامل عبر أبشر أو مساند، وأن تتّفق أنت والعامل على الشروط قبل تسجيل عقد جديد. وهي الأنسب لمن يريد البدء سريعًا ووجد عاملًا متاحًا محليًا.
وبمجرد أن تحدّد طريقتك، تصبح الخطوات التالية متشابهة إلى حدّ كبير. يستعرض القسمان التاليان ما ينبغي تجهيزه، ثم العملية نفسها.

ما الذي ينبغي تجهيزه قبل أن تبدأ

لن تتيح لك مساند المضيّ قُدُمًا حتى تكتمل بياناتك، لذا من الأفضل تجهيز كل شيء مسبقًا. ومعظمه متوفّر لديك أصلًا. وقد تختلف القائمة قليلًا حسب الجنسية والطريقة التي اخترتها، لكن الأساس واحد للجميع.

 فهو بوّابتك إلى مساند وإلى خطوات الإقامة لاحقًا، فتأكّد من أنه نشط ومن أن بيانات التواصل محدّثة.

، تدخل إليه برقم الهوية الوطنية (للمواطنين) أو رقم الإقامة (للمقيمين).

 تعمل مع الخدمات الحكومية: مدى أو فيزا أو ماستركارد أو سداد.

مستنداتك بصفتك صاحب العمل

 شهادة راتب أو كشف حساب بنكي أو مستند رسمي يوضّح عملك في القطاع العام أو الخاص. وهذا ما يُقاس عليه في فحص الأهلية.

، التي تستخدمها مساند للتحقّق من المعالين، ولدى المقيمين من معيار وجود الأبناء الذي يؤثّر في شرط العمر.

، بما فيها المخالفات المرورية، لأن الغرامات غير المسدّدة أو مخالفات الاستقدام قد تمنع إصدار تأشيرة جديدة.

بخصوص العامل (حسب طريقتك)

عاملًا محدّدًا عبر «معروفة»

، فستحتاج إلى صورة من جواز سفره الساري وبيانات التواصل معه.

 من مركز معتمد مطلوبة مع تقدّم الإجراءات، عادةً بعد الموافقة المبدئية وقبل اعتماد التأشيرة. لا تحتاجها في اليوم الأول، لكنها قادمة.

وثمّة أمر لا تجهّزه مسبقًا، لكن تتوقّعه: 

. تشتريه عبر مساند ضمن خطوة العقد لا قبلها، وترشدك المنصة إليه في الوقت المناسب. وسنتناول تكلفته لاحقًا.

 جهّز نسخًا رقمية واضحة أو صورًا نقيّة لكل مستند قبل تسجيل الدخول. فمساند تتحقّق من الملفات أثناء رفعها، وأكثر سبب يُعطّل الطلب في يومه الأول هو ملفّ غير واضح أو منتهي الصلاحية.

الاستقدام عبر مساند خطوة بخطوة

بعد التأكد من أهليتك وتجهيز مستنداتك، تصبح العملية واضحة ومتسلسلة. وإليك الرحلة الكاملة من أول تسجيل دخول إلى عامل يعيش ويعمل في بيتك. وإن كنت تنقل خدمات عامل موجود داخل المملكة، فطريقك أقصر، وثمّة ملاحظة بشأن ذلك في النهاية.

الخطوة الأولى: سجّل الدخول وأجرِ فحص الأهلية.

 ادخل إلى مساند عبر أبشر برقم هويتك أو إقامتك. وقبل الالتزام بأي شيء، استخدم فحص الأهلية للتأكد من استيفائك شرطَي العمر والقدرة المالية للتأشيرة التي تريدها؛ فاجتياز هذه الخطوة أولًا يجنّبك المفاجآت بعد الدفع.

الخطوة الثانية: ابدأ طلب تأشيرة.

 افتح قسم خدمات التأشيرات واختر طلب تأشيرة عامل منزلي، ثم حدّد المهنة (عاملة منزلية أو سائق أو مربية أو عامل رعاية وغيرها) والدولة التي تريد الاستقدام منها؛ فتعرض لك مساند حينها الطرق والجنسيات المتاحة لهذا المزيج تحديدًا.

الخطوة الثالثة: اختر طريقتك.

 بحسب الدولة التي اخترتها، تتيح لك المنصة مكتب استقدام أو الخدمة الذاتية «معروفة» أو كليهما. وهذا هو قرار الطريقة الذي ذكرناه سابقًا وقد صار الآن ملموسًا، فاختر ما يناسب ميزانيتك ووقتك.

الخطوة الرابعة: ارفع المستندات وحدّد الراتب.

 أرفق هويتك وإثبات قدرتك المالية وبطاقة العائلة، ثم أدخل الراتب الشهري الذي تعرضه. وهنا تفصيل يعثر فيه كثيرون: يجب أن يطابق الراتبُ الذي تكتبه الرقمَ الوارد في مستنداتك الداعمة، وإلا فقد يُرفض الطلب.

الخطوة الخامسة: سدّد رسم التأشيرة.

 رسم إصدار التأشيرة الحكومي 2,000 ريال، يُدفع عبر سداد أو البطاقة قبل تقديم الطلب. وتأكّد من المبلغ الحالي عند الدفع، فالرسوم تحدّدها الوزارة وقد تتغيّر. وسدّد أي مخالفات مرورية قائمة أولًا، فقد تمنع التقديم.

الخطوة السادسة: احصل على مطابقة أو سمِّ عاملك.

 إن اخترت مكتبًا، عرض عليك عروض مرشّحين لتنتقي منها. وإن كنت تستخدم «معروفة»، أدخلت بيانات جواز سفر عاملك ومعلومات التواصل. وفي الحالتين، راجِع بيانات المرشّح بعناية قبل الالتزام، فتغيير المسار لاحقًا بطيء ومكلف.

الخطوة السابعة: راجِع العقد الإلكتروني ووثّقه.

 تنشئ مساند عقد العمل الرسمي تلقائيًا متضمّنًا التأمين التعاقدي الإلزامي، فتراجع الشروط وتوافق على التأمين وتوثّق العقد على المنصة. وهذا هو الجوهر القانوني للاستقدام، ويفصّل القسم التالي ما الذي يثبّته بالضبط.

الخطوة الثامنة: الفحص الطبي للعامل وإصدار التأشيرة.

 يُجري العامل فحص لياقة طبية في مركز معتمد ببلده، وبمجرد اجتيازه تُصدَر التأشيرة وتُختم. وتتفاوت المدد هنا كثيرًا بحسب بلد المصدر والمكتب الذي يتولّى الأمر.

الخطوة التاسعة: السفر والوصول.

 يسافر العامل إلى المملكة، وعند وصوله يستكمل البصمة وإجراءات الدخول، فتبدأ علاقة العمل رسميًا.

الخطوة العاشرة: استكمل الإقامة ورتّب صرف الراتب.

 بعد الوصول تستكمل إصدار إقامة العامل عبر أبشر خلال المدة المطلوبة، وترتّب صرف الأجر عبر القناة المعتمدة. وكلاهما التزام مستمرّ لا مهمة لمرة واحدة، ونتناولهما في قسم الالتزامات.

إذا كنت تنقل خدمات عامل موجود داخل المملكة،

 فإنك تتخطّى خطوات الاستقدام الخارجي والفحص الطبي والتأشيرة والسفر. بدلًا من ذلك تتّفق مع العامل على الشروط، وتحصل على تنازل من صاحب عمله الحالي عبر أبشر أو مساند، وتسجّل عقدًا جديدًا على المنصة. إنها الوجهة نفسها عبر طريق أقصر بكثير.

العقد الإلكتروني في مساند: شرحٌ مبسّط

العقد هو الجوهر القانوني للترتيب كلّه، ويستحقّ أن تفهمه قبل أن تصل إليه. أنت لا تكتبه بنفسك. فبمجرد اختيارك للعامل، تنشئ مساند عقد العمل الرسمي تلقائيًا، وفق نموذج موحّد تعتمده وزارة الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية. واستخدام هذا العقد الإلكتروني إلزامي لكل عملية استقدام فردية على المنصة، سواء عبر مكتب أو عبر الخدمة الذاتية. ولا يغني عنه أيّ اتفاق ورقيّ جانبيّ.

يحدّد النموذج الشروط التي تحمي الطرفين، حتى لا يبقى أيّ التباس لاحقًا. وتوقّع أن يشمل:

  المهامّ الوظيفية وطبيعة العمل؛

  الراتب الشهري، الذي يجب أن يراعي أيّ حدّ أدنى مقرّر لجنسية العامل؛

  ساعات العمل ويوم الراحة الأسبوعي (تحقّق من الحدّ اليومي بدقّة في العقد، إذ أشارت التوجيهات المنشورة إلى ثماني ساعات وإلى عشر ساعات في مواضع مختلفة)؛

  الإجازة السنوية وترتيبات السكن؛

  فترة التجربة، ومدة العقد (سنتان عادةً) وكيفية تجديده؛

  تذكرة عودة جوية، عادةً مرة كل سنتين؛

  حقوق الطرفين وواجباتهما، ورسوم الاستقدام المعنية.

 أما مكافأة نهاية الخدمة فتندرج ضمن اللوائح الأوسع للعمالة المنزلية لا كصيغة مطبوعة في العقد، لكن علاقة العمل خاضعة لتلك اللوائح، لذا ضع في حسبانك دفع مكافأة نهاية خدمة عند انتهاء العقد.

كيف يصبح العقد ساري المفعول

العقد ليس نافذًا لحظة ظهوره. فأنت تراجع الشروط، ثم توافق على التأمين التعاقدي، وهو إلزامي منذ مطلع 2024 ويغطّي أول سنتين من العقد. يلي ذلك الدفع، ثم توثيق العقد رقميًا على المنصة. ويوافق عليه الطرفان: أنت عبر مساند، والعامل عبر مكتب الاستقدام أو الجهة المختصة في بلده. ولا يكتسب العقد أثره القانوني إلا بعد تسجيله وتأمينه وربطه بالتأشيرة.

والخلاصة العملية لمن يستقدم لأول مرة: لأن كل شيء موحّد ومسجّل في مساند، فأنت لا تتفاوض على عقد من الصفر ولا تعتمد على الثقة وحدها. فالشروط ثابتة، وظاهرة للطرفين، وقابلة للإنفاذ، وهذا بالضبط ما يجعل المنصة الطريقة الآمنة للاستقدام.

كم تبلغ التكلفة فعليًا في 2026

لا يوجد سعر ثابت واحد، لأن أكبر المتغيّرات هما جنسية العامل والجهة التي تستقدم منها. قسّم التكلفة إلى جزأين: ما تدفعه 

، وهو يعتمد كثيرًا على ما إذا كنت تستقدم من الخارج أو تنقل خدمات عامل موجود داخل المملكة، وما تدفعه 

، وهو متقارب في الحالتين.

المبالغ المقدّمة عند الاستقدام من الخارج

ينطبق هذا سواء استخدمت مكتب استقدام أو الخدمة الذاتية «معروفة».

 2,000 ريال، يُدفع للحكومة عند التقديم، ويُعفى منه بعض الفئات كذوي الإعاقة. وتُضاف رسوم خدمة مساند الإلكترونية وقدرها 172.5 ريالًا (شاملة ضريبة القيمة المضافة) لإصدار التأشيرة إلكترونيًا، ويمكن تجنّب هذه الرسوم تحديدًا بإتمام الخطوة حضوريًا في أحد مكاتب وزارة الموارد البشرية والتنمية الاجتماعية. تأكّد من الأرقام الحالية عند الدفع.

 المتغيّر الأكبر، ويعتمد غالبًا على الجنسية. عبر المكتب يكون الرسم محدَّد السقف من مساند ويُعرض حسب الجنسية والمهنة. وعبر «معروفة» تدفع سعرًا ثابتًا شاملًا، أرخص عمومًا، للجنسيات التي تدعمها.

 إلزامي، ويغطّي أول سنتين، ويُشترى عبر مساند في خطوة العقد.

 فحص لياقة العامل في بلده، وقد يكون مضمّنًا في الباقة أحيانًا.

 تذكرة الطيران إلى المملكة، وقد تكون ضمن باقة المكتب أو تُدفع منفصلة.

ولتوضيح مدى تأثير الدولة، إليك سقوف تكاليف الاستقدام التي نشرتها مساند (للاستقدام عبر المكتب، دون ضريبة القيمة المضافة):

  الفلبين: سقف نحو 14,700 ريال، بمتوسط يقارب 14,447 ريال.

  سريلانكا: سقف نحو 13,800 ريال، بمتوسط يقارب 13,446 ريال.

  بنغلاديش: سقف نحو 11,750 ريال، بمتوسط يقارب 9,276 ريال.

  كينيا: سقف نحو 9,000 ريال، بمتوسط يقارب 7,609 ريال.

  أوغندا: سقف نحو 8,300 ريال، بمتوسط يقارب 6,635 ريال.

  إثيوبيا: سقف نحو 5,900 ريال، بمتوسط يقارب 5,259 ريال.

 تُراجَع هذه السقوف دوريًا، لذا اعتبرها استرشادية وتحقّق من الرقم الحالي لجنسيتك عند التقديم.

المبالغ المقدّمة عند الاستقدام من داخل المملكة (النقل)

نقل كفالة عامل موجود هنا يتخطّى معظم ما سبق. فلا رسم تأشيرة، ولا فحص طبي خارجي، ولا سفر. وهذه عادةً الطريقة الأخفّ والأرخص للبدء، ولهذا تفضّلها كثير من الأسر عند توفّر عامل مناسب محليًا.

 تدفعه أنت بصفتك الكفيل الجديد عبر مساند إلكترونيًا. ويرتفع بحسب عدد مرات نقل العامل سابقًا، فالعامل في نقله الأول أقلّ كلفة ممن غيّر أصحاب عمل عدة مرات. وتوقّع رسم خدمة بسيطًا (نحو 100 ريال) إضافيًا.

 لا يجوز لصاحب العمل الحالي أن يتقاضى منك رسمًا رسميًا. فدوره الوحيد الموافقة على التنازل في مساند. والرسوم الرسمية التي تدفعها تذهب إلى النظام لا إليه.

 يُسجَّل عقد جديد على مساند، مع تأمين حسب الحال.

التكاليف المستمرة (في الحالتين)

 التكلفة الأكبر على المدى الطويل بفارق واضح. ويتفاوت كثيرًا حسب الجنسية، وتحدّد بعض الدول المرسِلة حدًّا أدنى تفرضه مساند عند تعبئة العقد. اعتبر أيّ رقم راتب على الإنترنت استرشاديًا وتحقّق من الحدّ الأدنى للجنسية التي اخترتها.

  تذكرة العودة الدورية:

 عادةً مرة كل سنتين، بحسب العقد.

 تجديد الإقامة والتأمين، وأيّ تجديد للعقد بعد المدة الأولى.

 the official platform of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. It is where you confirm you are eligible, choose how to recruit, sign the contract, and pay the fees.

For a first-time employer, the platform can feel confusing at first. This guide walks you through it step by step, in plain language, whatever kind of help you are bringing into your home: who is allowed to hire, what you need to prepare, how the contract and the costs work, and how long the whole thing takes.

Before you do anything else, Musaned checks whether you qualify. You can run this eligibility check on the platform before you submit a request, which saves time and money if something is missing. Two things decide it: who you are, and whether you can show the financial capacity to support a worker.

: Saudi citizens, nationals of other GCC countries, members of displaced tribes, the wife of a Saudi citizen, the mother of a Saudi citizen, and holders of Premium Residency. 

 on a standard iqama can also hire, but under stricter conditions, and they cannot recruit a domestic worker of their own nationality.

If you are a Saudi citizen or treated like one, the minimum age to hire while unmarried is 21. If you are an expatriate resident, it depends on your family situation. An unmarried resident with no children must be at least 24.

There is no low cap on how many workers you can sponsor. Instead, Musaned runs financial-capacity tables, and the bar climbs with each additional visa. For the first visa you mainly declare your salary and show a bank balance. For a second, third and beyond, both the minimum salary and the required bank balance rise sharply. As currently published, the requirements look roughly like this.

First visa: declare your salary and show a bank balance of around SAR 40,000.

Second visa: salary from about SAR 7,000, with a bank balance around SAR 60,000.

Third visa: salary from about SAR 25,000, with a bank balance around SAR 200,000, and requirements keep scaling beyond that.

First visa: salary from about SAR 10,000, with a bank document from around SAR 100,000.

Second visa: the minimum salary roughly doubles, to about SAR 20,000, with higher tiers after that.

Residents are also limited to one worker per occupation, so you cannot sponsor two of the same role, while citizens can scale further. For most families the practical message is the same: one worker is reachable on a normal income, and each extra worker needs a noticeably stronger financial profile. On top of this, you need a clean record with no recruitment violations or unpaid fines, and an active Absher account.

Confirm the live numbers before you count on them.

Choose your hiring path before anything else

The single biggest decision you make on Musaned is not which agency to use. It is which 

 you take, because that choice sets your cost, your effort, and how long you wait. There are three main paths, and the platform will only show the ones available for the nationality and occupation you pick.

 will point you to the option that matches your budget, your timeline, and whether you are recruiting from abroad or taking on someone already in the Kingdom. The rest of this section explains each route so the recommendation makes sense.

This is the hands-off route. A Musaned-licensed office handles the sourcing, paperwork, and logistics, and presents you with candidate offers to choose from. You pay more for the convenience, and quality depends heavily on the office, so it is worth checking its rating on Musaned before you commit. Best for first-time employers who want someone else to manage the process and are recruiting from a country where self-service is not offered.

2. Self-service, by named worker (Maaroufah)

Here you recruit a specific worker you already have in mind, entering their passport and contact details yourself, with Musaned handling the contract and visa. It is cheaper and faster, but it is only available for a limited set of nationalities (currently including the Philippines, Kenya and Sri Lanka), and it puts more of the legwork on you. Best for employers who already know who they want to hire, for example a worker recommended by family.

3. Transferring a worker already in Saudi Arabia (kafala transfer)

Instead of recruiting from abroad, you take over the sponsorship of a worker already in the Kingdom. This is usually the fastest route because there is no overseas recruitment, visa issuance, or travel. It does require the current employer to release the worker through Absher or Musaned, and you and the worker to agree on terms before a new contract is registered. Best for employers who want to start quickly and have found an available worker locally.

Once you know which path you are taking, the steps that follow are broadly the same. The next sections walk through what to prepare, then the process itself.

Musaned will not let you move forward until your details check out, so it pays to gather everything first. Most of it you already have. The exact list can vary slightly by nationality and by the route you chose, but the core is the same for everyone.

Step 1. Log in and run the eligibility check. 

Sign in to Musaned through Absher, using your National ID or Iqama number. Before committing to anything, use the eligibility check to confirm you meet the age and financial-capacity rules for the visa you want. Clearing this first means no surprises after you have paid.

Open the visa services section and choose to request a domestic worker visa. You select the occupation (housemaid, driver, nanny, home carer, and so on) and the country you want to recruit from. Musaned then shows only the routes and nationalities currently available for that combination.

Based on the country you picked, the platform offers a recruitment office, the self-service Maaroufah route, or both. This is the path decision from earlier, now made concrete. Pick the one that matches your budget and timeline.

Step 4. Upload documents and set the salary. 

Attach your ID, proof of financial capacity, and family registry, then enter the monthly salary you are offering. One detail trips people up: the salary you type must match the figure in your supporting documents, or the request can be rejected.

The government visa-issuance fee is SAR 2,000, paid through SADAD or card before the request is submitted. Confirm the current amount at checkout, since fees are set by the ministry and can change. Settle any outstanding traffic fines first, as they can block submission.

Step 6. Get matched, or name your worker. 

If you went through an office, it presents candidate offers and you choose. If you are using Maaroufah, you enter your chosen worker's passport and contact details. Either way, review the candidate's details carefully before you commit, because changing course later is slow and costly.

Step 7. Review and authenticate the e-contract. 

Musaned generates the official employment contract automatically, including the mandatory contractual insurance. You review the terms, agree to the insurance, and authenticate the contract on the platform. This is the legal heart of the hire, and the next section breaks down exactly what it locks in.

Step 8. Worker's medical and visa issuance. 

The worker completes a medical fitness check at an approved center in their country, and once that clears, the visa is issued and stamped. Timelines here depend heavily on the source country and the office handling it.

The worker travels to Saudi Arabia. On arrival they complete biometrics and entry procedures, and the employment relationship formally begins.

Step 10. Finalize the Iqama and set up salary payments. 

After arrival you complete the worker's residence permit (Iqama) through Absher within the required window, and arrange to pay wages through the approved channel. Both are ongoing obligations rather than one-off tasks, and we cover them in the obligations section.

If you are transferring a worker already in the Kingdom

, you skip the overseas recruitment, medical, visa, and travel steps. Instead you agree terms with the worker, obtain a release from their current sponsor through Absher or Musaned, and register a new contract on the platform. It is the same destination by a much shorter road.

The contract is the legal heart of the whole arrangement, and it is worth understanding before you reach it. You do not write it yourself. Once you select a worker, Musaned generates the official employment contract automatically, on a standard template set by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Using this e-contract is mandatory for every individual hire on the platform, whether you went through an office or the self-service route. A side agreement on paper does not replace it.

The template spells out the terms that protect both you and the worker, so there is no ambiguity later. Expect it to cover:

the job duties and the nature of the work;

the monthly salary, which must respect any minimum that applies to the worker's nationality;

working hours and the weekly rest day (verify the exact daily limit in the contract, since published guidance has referenced both eight-hour and ten-hour days);

annual leave and accommodation arrangements;

the trial period, the contract duration (commonly two years) and how it is renewed;

a return air ticket, typically once every two years;

the rights and duties of both parties, and the recruitment charges involved.

End-of-service entitlements sit under the wider domestic-worker regulations rather than being printed as a formula in the contract, but the employment relationship is covered by those rules, so plan for an end-of-service payment when the contract ends.

The contract is not live the moment it appears. You review the terms, then agree to the contractual insurance, which has been mandatory since early 2024 and covers the first two years of the contract. Payment follows, and the contract is authenticated digitally on the platform. Both sides approve it: you through Musaned, and the worker through the recruitment office or the relevant channel in their country. Only once it is registered, insured, and tied to the visa does it take legal effect.

The practical point for a first-time employer: because everything is standardized and recorded on Musaned, you are not negotiating a contract from scratch or relying on trust. The terms are fixed, visible to both parties, and enforceable, which is exactly what makes the platform the safe way to hire.

There is no single sticker price, because the biggest variables are the worker's nationality and where you recruit from. Split the cost into two parts: what you pay 

, which depends heavily on whether you bring someone in from abroad or take on someone already in the Kingdom, and what you pay 

Upfront, if you are recruiting from abroad

This applies whether you use a recruitment office or the self-service Maaroufah route.

 SAR 2,000, paid to the government on submission, waived for some categories such as people with disabilities. A separate Musaned e-service fee of SAR 172.5 (incl. VAT) also applies for issuing the visa online, you can avoid this specific fee by completing the step in person at a Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development office.
